Note: Lot easier to save the xpi file to the desktop and then:

TOOLS => Addons => Install => locate the xpi file and click it.

Remove that profile, restart Firefox, create a new profile and then restore ONLY passwords and bookmarks.

Exactly where on Netflix did the error occur and what did you click on or try to download, etc. The home page comes up here with no problems using Firefox 3.6.6
